RAIL TRAIL NEWS – The nearby Tumbarumba to Rosewood Trail opened in April 2020 (the first in NSW). Six months after opening, over 10,000 riders had ridden the trail. Numbers continue to grow – attracting both locals and visitors from outside the region.

A considerable amount of planning has occurred to date. The next stages of progress involve:
- Inclusion of the rail trail in the Regional Walking and Cycling Masterplan being developed by Snowy Valleys Council.
- Funding to complete a new feasibility study
- Funding to complete a detailed development plan
- Construction of Stage One – Batlow to Wybaleena with a link to Apple Thief trail head
